Break down naturally through bacteria and other organisms, but decomposition time is not specific and it can many years. They still leave behind residues and don't necessarily benefit the soil.

I liked how this product was made with plant based ingredients, as opposed to other pads [that] contain bleach. I felt like I was making a safer choice for my body and for the environment. I enjoyed the simplistic design and how there was little waste and no plastic. The pad was also very soft which made it very comfortable

Isabelle tried the two super Aruna pads this weekend – she was very impressed with the absorbency and comfort. They got her “definitely would use again” vote.
Her only observation was that when she initially put them on she thought the wings felt a little rough on the edge but “it quickly smoothed out”. So might have been fibres poking out when folded. She said it resolved so quickly it wouldn’t keep her from using them at all, but that it might be a bit disconcerting to a first time user.
Overall she really loved the fit and feel.
